InSchool Music was founded in the Fall of 2006 by David Butler. It was conceived as a solution to many of the challenges that arise in private music instruction for all involved. InSchool Music provides private, one-on-one instrumental lessons; at school, during school hours. Comprehensive instruction is provided in piano and guitar.
Mr. Butler’s missioin of “music for life” has produced many successful musicians, including Grammy Award winning pianist and composer JJ Wright. Wright’s new album, “O Emmanuel” climbed to number one on the Billboard Charts in October of 2016.
Two of Mr. Butler’s former students, his son Patrick, and Phil Shore have been signed to Infine Records of Paris France in 2018 with their electronic duo, Bottler.
Students of all ages receive training in classical music, jazz, blues, rock, show tunes, pop, and more. InSchool Music’s experienced and accomplished instructors place emphasis on achieving technical polish, musical expression, performance techniques, sight-reading, ear-training, improvisation, and composition.
Convenient, Professional, Fun
Parents are thrilled that their children are learning an instrument. No longer is it necessary to drive a student around during the dinner hour or in the evenings to obtain the finest music instruction.
InSchool Music is specifically designed to enrich a school’s existing music curriculum, helping students to take their music education as far as they can. Lessons are carefully scheduled during a time within school hours that is appropriate to teachers, administrators and the student.
The best of musicians are attracted to teach in the InSchool Music program because of the rarity of daytime work for musicians in general. This benefits students, who receive top quality instruction, as well as schools that can promote the excellence of their music program.
As with all private music lessons there is tuition, competitive with the best music store rates in the area. However, there is no cost to the school itself. Parents are billed by InSchool Music directly for lessons on a monthly basis.
